David A. Toivonen, M.D.
Dr. David A. Toivonen joined Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin as an orthopedic surgeon in 1995. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
with a Subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand. He specializes in wrist arthroscopy and the orthopedic treatment of wrist disorders. Dr. Toivonen treats all disorders of the upper extremity
including finger, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder injuries and conditions.
Dr. Toivonen received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a five-year Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by a Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity at The State University of New York-Syracuse Health Science Center.
Dr. Toivonen has been published in several professional journals and has given numerous lectures on a variety of finger, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder topics.
