Helping Neighbors, Strangers and Others – One Pair at a Time.

Burr… the chilly weather is fast approaching. With fall temperatures dropping, we are given gentle awakenings to forthcoming frigid and frosty conditions. Along with the dropping temperatures come thoughts of winter boots, snow pants, wind howling and snow blowing days and nights! To some, it is music to their ears; to others it’s time to shift into survival mode.

As frigid weather arrives, it is essential to be mindful of the cold exposure and how important it is to keep fingers warm and safe. At Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin, our physicians and therapists treat many upper extremity weather-related conditions including frost bite.

Join us in 2019, as we collect new and gently used mittens and gloves in all sizes for our “Keeping Fingers Warm” campaign. A campaign that is designed to assist with the local Salvation Army in providing the necessary outdoor hand-wear to those in need.

The “Keeping Fingers Warm” campaign will run from October 15th – December 15th. All donations can be brought to the Appleton location (2323 N. Casaloma Drive) during regular business hours (8AM-5PM, M-F). Scarfs and hats are also welcome.
